Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island. The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty. Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope. Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?” “No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.” A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.” Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.” Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.” When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone. Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved ...

Someone has written these beautiful words. One must read and try to understand the deep meanings in them. Why, as the world spins, do I stand? Still as the leaves, when there is no wind, Why does it hurt so much? When everything you believe in, feels right, Why am I falling? When everything around me is rising with the sun, Why look for pain? When there is none, Is heaven a place on Earth? Or does it come from the heart, Every breath I take, is another fire, burning up inside, I know that sometimes the truth hurts, but don’t ever let it slide. Am I the only one, who takes pride in the little things? The colour of the sky at dawn, The feeling, knowing you’ve got something to give, Even though they spit in your fire, The freedom to run the waves, whenever the time is right, The joy, of taking pride in who you are, Even though they try and scar, The flame of the candle, dancing in the window pane, You are fulfilled; you have nothing more to gain. Is there another part of me? A part I do not know, Whatever the future holds, I cannot tell yet, But I can now see the glow, A shimmer of light, A glimmer of hope, In everything I do. Feel every moment you live, For you do not know, When the sun will stop rising, Become who you were born to be, For everyone is here for a reason, Discover the meaning of life, You will know when you’ve found it, The warm heart, and sound of tiny toes, Pitt-pattering on the floor, The sound of giggling and laughter, Where there was none before. The value of a smile is priceless, yet it is the cheapest, easiest, most rewarding and most sincere gift to anyone that crosses your path. A smile makes a person’s day, anybody’s day even a stranger’s day. A smile is infectious. Start infecting people with your smile today. A smile is nature’s best antidote for discouragement. It brings rest to the weary, sunshine to those who are sad, and hope to those who are hopeless and defeated.     A smile is so valuable that it can’t be bought, begged, borrowed, or taken away against your will. You have to be willing to give a smile away before it can do anyone else any good. So if someone is too tired or grumpy to flash you a smile, let him have one of yours anyway. Nobody needs a smile as much as the person who has none to give.

When things close in around you, He sees your fear and doubt - He wants to hold you in His arms, And He will never cast you out. As you stumble through the darkness, He will be your guiding light. He wants to wipe away your tears, For you are precious in His sight. Reach out right now to Jesus, And let Him take complete control - He’ll take that heavy burden, And He’ll touch and make you whole. He’s reaching out His arms to you, And He wants to be your friend. Let Him take you in His loving arms, For His love will never end.

Live for today, for tomorrow is not yet known. Dream a little, cos’ dreams make life worth living. Make a wish, someone might just hear you.   Believe in yourself, believe that you are made for greatness. Make some mistakes, for you have yet to learn. Learn to forgive, become the greater person. Inspire others, for they might be on their last shreds of hope. Make some friends, you will need them in your life. Show some kindness, your actions do unto you. Care for others, cos’ caring makes you human. Make others smile, their smiles are unspoken blessings. Show some love, love is all that you live for. Be a Human, because that’s what you have been born for.

Hope is a precious commodity. It fuels our drive. It gives us the courage to continue through any struggle. Hope gives us the desire to face another day, to strive to overcome it’s challenges and work for new ones. Hope gives us glimpses of tomorrow, of the possibilities that lie in our future and of the paths we need to travel. Hope lightens our steps when the road is strewn with obstacles, and helps us decide on our route. Hope puts a smile on our face and a glimmer in our eyes. Hope let’s us see love as it blooms. Never lose faith in your abilities, trust the instincts you have inside, they will guide you through your journey.   And always have hope. Always look to the future. Always believe that the best is out there for you to find. Never lose your hope. Never lose the faith you have in who you are. Because with that faith in yourself, lies the essence of your hope.
