Heart Touching Story About The Existence of God

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard trimmed as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber that attended him. They talked about many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched on the subject of God. The barber said: “Look man, I don’t believe that God exists as you say.” “Why do you say that?” asked his client. “Well, it’s so easy, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain. I can’t think of loving a God who permits all of these things.”   The client stopped for a moment, thinking, but he didn’t want to respond so as to cause an argument. The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with shaggy, long hair and a beard (it seems that it had been a long time since he had his cut, and he looked so untidy). Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber: “You know what? I think barbers do not exist.”   “How can you say they don’t exist?” asked the barber. “I am a barber and here I am.” “No!” the client exclaimed. “They don’t exist; if they did there would be no people with shaggy, long hair and beards like that man who walks in the street.”   “Ah, barbers do exist,” said the barber. “What happens is that people do not come to me.” “Exactly!” affirmed the client. “That’s the point. God ...

Greatest Dad In The World

I try to be a good father. Give my kids mulligans. Work nights to pay for their text messaging. Take them to swimsuit shoots.   But compared with Dick Hoyt, I’m suck.   Eighty-five times he’s pushed his disabled son, Rick, 26.2 miles in marathons. Eight times he’s not only pushed him 26.2 miles in a wheelchair but also towed him 2.4 miles in a dinghy while swimming and pedaled him 112 miles in a seat on the handlebars — all in the same day.   Dick’s also pulled him cross-country skiing, taken him on his back mountain climbing and once hauled him across the U.S. on a bike. Makes taking your son bowling look a little lame, right?   And what has Rick done for his father? Not much — except save his life.   This love story began in Winchester, Mass., 43 years ago, when Rick was strangled by the umbilical cord during birth, leaving him brain-damaged and unable to control his limbs.   “He’ll be a vegetable the rest of his life,” Dick says doctors told him and his wife, Judy, when Rick was nine months old. “Put him in an institution.”   But the Hoyts weren’t buying it. They noticed the way Rick’s eyes followed them around the room. When Rick was 11 they took him to the engineering department at Tufts University and asked if there was anything to help the boy communicate. “No way,” Dick says he was told. “There’s nothing going on in his brain.”   “Tell him a joke,” Dick countered. They did. Rick laughed. Turns out a lot was going on in ...

Through his faith and tenacity, Dallas set out to prove them wrong. As a result of the accident, Dallas was left without any facial features. The electrical line completely burned away his visage and left him with gaping wounds on his body and spinal cord injuries at the C-3, C-4, and C-5 vertebrae. After dozens of surgeries, the surgeons had reconstructed Dallas’ body to the point that they felt comfortable bringing him out of the medically induced coma that he had been in for three months. As soon as he came to, Dallas began the arduous road to recovery. Three months later, Dallas was out of the hospital and well on his way to returning to life before the accident. However, he was not satisfied. Eye – Opening Story — (Know where you’re going in life)

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. “Not very long , ” answered the Mexican. “But then , why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the American. The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family. The American asked , “But what do you do with the rest of your time?” “I sleep late , fish a little , play with my children , and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings , I go into the village to see my friends , play the guitar , and sing a few songs… I have a full life.” The American interrupted , “I have an MBA from Harvard , and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue , you can buy a bigger boat.” “And after that?” asked the Mexican. “With the extra money the larger boat will bring , you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man , you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City , Los Angeles , or even New York City ! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise.” “How long would that take?” asked the Mexican. “Twenty , perhaps twenty-five years , ” replied the American. “And after that?” “Afterwards? Well my Friend , That’s when it gets really interesting ...

Some Interesting And Revealing Incidents From The Life Of Albert Einstein

Some interesting and revealing incidents from the life of Albert Einstein who was recently honored by Time magazine as the Man of the Century. One day during a speaking tour, Albert Einstein’s driver, who often sat at the back of the hall during his lectures, remarked that he could probably give the lecture himself, having heard it so many times. Sure enough, at the next stop on the tour, Einstein and the driver switched places, with Einstein sitting at the back in his driver’s uniform. Having delivered a flawless lecture, the driver was asked a difficult question by a member of the audience. “Well, the answer to that question is quite simple,” he casually replied. “I bet my driver, sitting up at the back there, could answer it!” Albert Einstein’s wife often suggested that he dress more professionally when he headed off to work. “Why should I?” he would invariably argue. “Everyone knows me there.” When the time came for Einstein to attend his first major conference, she begged him to dress up a bit. “Why should I?” said Einstein. “No one knows me there!” Albert Einstein was often asked to explain the general theory of relativity. “Put your hand on a hotstove for a minute, and it seems like an hour,” he once declared. “Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That’s relativity!” When Albert Einstein was working ...

Puppies For Sale (Awesome Story)..!!

A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read ‘Puppies for Sale.’ These signs had a weird way of attracting children. And sure enough, a little boy appeared at the sign. “How much are you gonna sell those puppies for?” he asked.   The store owner replied, “Anywhere from $30-$50.” The little boy reached into his pocket and pulled out some change. “I have $2.37, can I have a look at them?” The store owner smiled and whistled and out of the kennel came Lady, who ran down the aisle of his store followed by five teeny, tiny balls of fur.   One puppy was lagging considerably behind. Immediately the little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy and said “What’s wrong with that little dog?” The man explained that when the puppy was born, the vet had said that it had no hip socket and would limp for the rest of its life.   The little boy got really excited and said “That’s the puppy I wanna buy!”   The man replied “No, you don’t wanna buy that little dog. If you really want him, I’ll give him to you.” The little boy got quite upset. He looked straight into the man’s eyes, pointing his finger and said, “I don’t want you to give him to me. He is worth every bit as much as the other dogs and I’ll pay the full price. In fact, I’ll give you $2.37 now and 50 cents every month until I have him paid for.”   The man countered, “You really don’t want to buy this puppy. He is never gonna be able to run, jump and ...

An Inspiring Conversation Between A Soldier & Software Engineer !!

A real story …A chat between a Solider and Software Engineer in Shatabdi Train ………An interesting and a must readl! Vivek Pradhan was not a happy man. Even the plush comfort of the air-conditioned compartment of the Shatabdi express could not cool his frayed nerves. He was the Project Manager and still not entitled to air travel. It was not the prestige he sought, he had tried to reason with the admin person, it was the savings in time. As PM, he had so many things to do!! He opened his case and took out the laptop, determined to put the time to some good use. “Are you from the software industry sir,” the man beside him was staring appreciatively at the laptop. Vivek glanced briefly and mumbled in affirmation, handling the laptop now with exaggerated care and importance as if it were an expensive car. “You people have brought so much advancement to the country, Sir. Today everything is getting computerized.” “Thanks,” smiled Vivek, turning around to give the man a look. He always found it difficult to resist appreciation. The man was young and stockily built like a sportsman. He looked simple and strangely out of place in that little lap of luxury like a small town boy in a prep school. He probably was a railway sportsman making the most of his free traveling pass. “You people always amaze me,” the man continued, “You sit in an office and write something on a computer and it does so many big things outside.” Vivek smiled deprecatingly. Naiveness demanded reasoning not anger. ...

True Story :: Tam Airlines And The Racist Passenger

This happened on TAM airlines. A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man. Visibly furious, she called the air hostess. ‘What’s the problem, ma?’ the hostess asked her ‘Can’t you see?’ the lady said – ‘I was given a seat next to a black man. I can’t seat here next to him. You have to change my seat’ - ‘Please, calm down, ma’ – said the hostess ‘Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I’m still going to check if we have any.’ The hostess left and returned some minutes later. ‘Madam, as I told you, there isn’t any empty seat in this class- economy class. But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn’t any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class.’ And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued ‘Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class. However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person.’ And turning to the black man, the hostess said: ‘Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class…’ And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet.’ IS THIS NOT RACISM!

A 10-year-old boy decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident. The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move. “Sensei,”(Teacher in Japanese) the boy finally said, “Shouldn’t I be learning more moves?” “This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you’ll ever need to know,” the sensei replied. Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training. Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals. This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened. “No,” the sensei insisted, “Let him continue.” Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Then the boy summoned the courage ...

Wonderful Story….With Powerful Lesson

A woman baked chapatti (roti) for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chapatti on the window sill, for whosoever would take it away. Every day, a hunchback came and took away the chapatti. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and uttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” The woman felt irritated. “Not a word of gratitude,” she said to herself… “Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?” One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. “I shall get rid of this hunchback,” she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the chapatti she prepared for him! As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. “What is this I am doing?” she said. Immediately, she threw the chapatti into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window sill. As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and muttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman. Every day, as the woman placed the chapatti on the window sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return. That evening, ...

Be Creative… Better Ways! – Awesome Short Story

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.” There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?” The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. What he had written was: “Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.” Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply told people to help by putting some money in the hat. The second sign told people that they were able to enjoy the beauty of the day, but the boy could not enjoy it because he was blind. The first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective? :: Moral of the Story :: Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently. THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY! Be thankful for what you have. Someone else has less. Help where you can and make it great for the needful.

Inspiring Story :When My Fingers Grow Back ?????

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint.   The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy’s hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital. Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy’s hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, ” Daddy, I’m sorry about your truck.” Then he asked, “but when are my fingers going to grow back?” The father went home & committed suicide. Lesson to learn from the Story: Think about the story the next time u see someone spill milk at a dinner table or hear a baby crying. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can’t. Too often we fail to recognise the difference between the person and the performance. People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever. Pause and ponder. Think before you act. Be patient. Understand & love.
